Global Freelancer Survey: 58 Percent of Freelancers in Southeast Asia Have Never Been Paid for Their Services

PayPal is an online payment system. Paypal is very familiar to Americans to pay or get paid. PayPal itself was established in 1998 in California, USA.

But through the "Global Freelancer Survey" or PayPal's latest study, shows that 58 percent of freelancers in Southeast Asia have never been paid for their services.

Almost half of the respondents (48.5 percent) rate that the payment problem is closely related to the views of the freelancer profession.


PayPal's online survey titled "Global Freelancer Survey" was followed by 11,324 freelancers and freelance considerers from 22 markets worldwide, including 1,602 freelancers or freelance considerers from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Associated with the condition, this survey proves that the ability of the digital platform in providing convenience and convenience for freelancers to receive payments and access opportunities for new jobs.

More respondents receive payments via PayPal (85 percent) than bank transfer (79 percent). PayPal is expressed as the most accepted payment method in Singapore (76 percent, Philippines (92 percent), and Indonesia (88 percent).

Still related to the results of the study, Rahul also said if the digital payment platform has an important role to the freelancers in Southeast Asia.

This is because it can help solve perceptual problems through digital platforms, freelancers from across the region can enjoy various payment methods that offer security and speed in sending bills to customers and receive payments.

Payments via PayPal and bank transfers are the most preferred methods by freelancers in the region. More respondents receive payments via PayPal (85 percent) than bank transfer (79 percent).

PayPal has been named the most accepted payment method in Indonesia (88 percent), Singapore (76 percent), and Philippines (92 percent) While in Vietnam most freelancers choose to receive payments by bank transfer (87 percent) in their country.

Probably because of their mistake that has cheated then Paypal does not pay it. For that, admin messages do not we cheat if it will not reap failure in the future.
